TRANSPORT OF YOUNG PEOPLE:
  • After school drop off needed for one child to top end of Clayton Road for a working mum. Please phone Jackie 027 670 8006

CAMP 2020 AT TUI RIDGE FOR YEAR 7 & 8: Not many sleeps until the Year 7 & 8 camp at Tui Ridge Camp 26th-28th February.  Please pray for safey, connection between children, confidence as they have fun and explore the outdoors.
 
POWHIRI TO WELCOME MR LARNE EDMEADES: Thank you to all who came to the Powhiri for Larne Edmeades, our new BC Principal.  It was a really special and touching occasion.  See the photos on the Bethlehem College Chapman Facebook page. 
 
PAT ASSESSMENTS: Week 7, 9th – 13th March.  Please ensure your son/daughter is present this week
 
INTER-CHRISTIAN SCHOOL ATHLETICS EVENT: Porritt Stadium Hamilton 19th March (postponement date 26th March).  We will take a BCC team to Hamilton.  If your son or daughter is involved, you will be notified soon.
 
GARDASIL AND BOOSTRIX IMMUNISATIONS:  Immunisations Tuesday 31st March Yr 7 & 8
 
MULTICULTURAL DINNER:  Thursday 2nd April 5:30 – 7:30pm at Living Well Church Café.  ALL FAMILIES are invited to attend and celebrate our rich cultural diversity.
 
DAYLIGHT SAVING ENDS: Saturday 4th April
 
EASTER SERVICE: Wednesday 8th April 7pm in the Living Well Church Auditorium

ABSENCES: Please phone the School Office 07 346 1492 between 7.15am and 8.30am so we are aware of the reason for any absences and can inform your child’s  teacher.
 
CORONAVIRUS: We are following the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education guidelines at this time and will keep you duly informed re any updates given to us. If your child has a fever, is coughing and or finding breathing difficult please check with your Dr immediately.
 
MOBILE PHONE POLICY: We do not allow phones at school. If your circumstances require your child to have a phone, they must hand it to Mrs Stevenson in the Office for safekeeping until 3.15. If you need to get a message to your child during the day, the school office (07 346 1492 ) will be happy to ensure they receive it.
 
UNIFORM: Please NAME EVERY ITEM OF UNIFORM including sandals, socks, hats etc. 
 
UNIFORM SHOP HOURS: Tuesday between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
 
BC YEAR 9 WINTER UNIFORMS:  There are a few items of small sized girls and boys BC Year 9 Winter Uniforms available – free to a good home.  Please see Angie in the School Office.
 
PE GEAR AND RUNNING SHOES:
 Please send PE gear every day. Socks and shoes are optional.
 
SUN HATS AND SUNSCREEN: ALL students are required to wear sun hats during break times. Sunscreen applied before coming to school is advised. We have sunscreen available to children to re-apply before going outside to play.
 
DROP OFF: Please drop off your children by 8.30am each morning and ensure they walk safely to the cones and down into school.  Some young people are consistently late for school which does not set them up positively for the day.  The bell rings at 8:40am.
 
PICK UP: ALL parents of year 1-6 children need to park in the Carpark and come in to the cafe to collect their child/ren. Year 7 & 8 young people may walk themselves out to the cones and then safely cross to your parked car. School finishes at 3.15pm and children can be collected between 3.15 and 3.30pm.
 
WORM JUICE: Fresh ‘Worm Juice’ still for sale $5 for 2.25 litres / $3 for 1.25 Litres. Please bring the correct cash in an envelope marked Worm Juice to Whaea Wendy in Room 2. First in first served! Containers need to be returned to Whaea Wendy.
 
MEDICAL CONDITIONS AND ALLERGIES: If your child has a Medical Condition / Allergy which has not been communicated to Mrs Angie Stevenson in our School Office and to your child’s teacher, please do so as soon as possible so our Medical Records are accurate and right up to date.

CAMP 2020 AT TUI RIDGE FOR YEAR 7 & 8: Whaea Lisa, Whaea Sylvia and Whaea Anelda will be taking our Year 7 & 8 young people to Tui Ridge Camp from the 26th-28th February. This is an exciting time for the oldest members of our kura and is a much-loved experience as they try new skills, meet and overcome challenges and strengthen friendships with one another.
